The future is value-based healthcare. This requires a new offering from biopharma and medtech. Instead of one-off diagnostics and therapies, the future is about total disease solutions, integrating diagnostics, therapies and patient support. This will require sales and marketing communications with patients and physicians which increase the value of the solution vs. creating extraneous noise.
Even the most exceptional therapy with the most robust data must operate in a real world environment of how the patient takes the therapy, manages the disease and other behavioral factors. Thus, the product itself is only part of the equation.
